Episode Thirteen: The Weak Apology Affair
Nikolai leaned back in his desk chair as he put his feet up on his desk. He blinked at his computer monitor and gracefully scratched at his stomach. Grier lifted Nikolai’s legs, slid past him through the alleyway she created, and then set his legs back down on the desk. As she dropped into her own chair, she asked, “Solitaire screwing you?”
“Yes,” Nikolai replied, itching at his sideburn.
Jackie began to flip through her paperwork, and Nikolai exhaled. Westermark winked at Nikolai as he stepped out of his office. Nikolai offered nothing but a scowl, but allowed his eyes to linger on Westermark’s ass as he strutted by. Jackie mumbled, “Don’t you have paperwork to do?”
Nikolai folded his arms across his chest. “Probably,” he replied, “but we only have about fifteen minutes left.”
“How long have you been playing solitaire?” Grier asked.
“That question is irrelevant,” Nikolai replied.
“Well, you owe me big time since I’m doing yours now,” Grier replied. “Are you cooking me a feast on our days off?”
“Oh,” Nikolai replied. He took his legs off his desk and set his feet on the ground. “I apologize, I forgot to tell you. I have a previous engagement.”
“What?”
“I have plans for tomorrow and the following day.”
“Doing what?”
“Seeing family,” Nikolai replied. He titled his head so his eyes stared firmly into Grier’s.
Grier said, “Bullshit.” She raised a single finger as she continued, “One, you’ve never told me about a family.” She added another finger. “Two, you would take me with you to meet them and show off how foxy your new partner is.”
“I have a family,” Nikolai replied.
“Then why haven’t you mentioned them, and why not bring me?”
Nikolai swivelled his chair to face Jackie, his face firm. He raised his index finger as he said, “One, we are Secret Agents. I want to keep my family safe and not associated with me. Two,” he raised another finger, his mind whirling. “Two, maybe they are racists.”
Jackie snorted. “I told you about my family.”
Nikolai turned away. “Yes, a loving mother and father who dote on you as much as their Rhodesian Ridgeback. Perhaps my family situation is just not as simple and perfect.”
For a moment Nikolai forgot he was meeting Guy and not his family. He stiffened as he thought of his family and the ocean between them. Jackie clicked her tongue against her teeth. “All right,” she said, “I won’t ask then. I guess I’ll just see you when you get back.”
“Yes,” Nikolai replied.
Nikolai moved a card in solitaire and listened to the sound of Jackie’s pen scratching into a page. Westermark walked back into his office with a whistle and a cup of coffee in his hand. Steele stepped out of his office on the other side of the room, stretching and frowning. Nikolai said, “Westermark working the night shift?”
“Fuck you, Kuryakin,” Jackie said, slamming down her pen and narrowing her eyes at him. “I will find out what you’re doing on our days off. Because I know you have no life because I don’t have a life and you spend it all with me. Does this have anything to do with that date you were on a month ago?”
“No,” Nikolai replied, “I am seeing my family.”
Jackie raised a corner of her lip into a smirk and said, “Well, we’ll see.”
Nikolai stood up and lifted his suit jacket up from the back of his chair. He said, “Do you think anyone would notice if I left early?”
“I would,” Grier replied, “but I’ll say nothing.”
Nikolai winked at her as he slid on his jacket. “Thank you.”
Grier said, “I expect a feast when you get back. I think Cox has us on Stakeout duty, so make sure it can fit in little boxes for the van.”
“I will,” Nikolai replied.
Half an hour later he relaxed on a plane. He bubbled with anxiety, and the agent stretched his legs beside the emergency exit. He glanced at the man beside him and offered a shy smile, but the man simply nodded and stared hard at his book. Nikolai decided the man didn’t want conversation, and he didn’t blame him. He opened his briefcase and waded his hand through the tourist clothes. He felt the cool chain of his gift to Guy, but eventually managed to pull his book out of his briefcase.
However, Nikolai found it difficult to read. He feared he would sit in the hotel lobby alone with his book, and Guy wouldn’t even show. Frustration knotted inside of him. He knew it was possible Guy already screwed a dozen people between when they last met and now. Maybe Guy already moved on. He exhaled and scratched his sideburn.
He frowned as he tried to pinpoint what it was about Guy that he desired so much. He just wanted to coil around Guy and nuzzle into his salt and pepper hair and breathe him in. And when Guy’d fight against him he’d only hold him tighter. He’d kiss and bite his ear and grind up against him. He wondered if it was Guy’s unwillingness that made him want more than a quick sexual encounter.
So when Nikolai stepped into the hotel lobby, he could only think about Guy. He was ready to tell Guy that he was the only person he thought about, the only person he masturbated to. Guy had burrowed into his brain like the A.B.E.L. agent’s bullet did into Guy’s leg and he thought he might never be able to function again if Guy didn’t show up today. He needed to feel their fingers twine together, he ached as he thought of never feeling Guy’s lips trace his chest again.
But his face stayed stony. He showed none of his fears.
Nonetheless, his body relaxed as he saw Guy sitting in the hotel’s restaurant. Nikolai watched Guy through the glass divider. Guy read the menu with a pensive expression. Guy rubbed his chin, his eyes looking as if he was ordering the only meal he’d be eating for the rest of his life.
Nikolai had never seen him look so serious.
And he knew that must mean Guy was still mad.
Nikolai knocked on the glass and Guy looked up. Nikolai opened his palm into a wave, and Guy looked back down to his menu. Nikolai walked around to the entrance and took the seat across from Guy. Under the table, he pressed him foot against Guy’s. Guy didn’t look up.
Nikolai exhaled. At least Guy was there, sitting across from him. “How do you feel?” Nikolai asked, skipping over the greeting portion of the conversation.
“Pissed off,” Guy said, pulling his foot away from Nikolai’s.
Guy felt Nikolai’s eyes on him, feeling the chill surge through his body. Guy calmly closed the menu and look directly into Nikolai’s steel blue eyes. He opened his mouth to tell Nikolai that he wasn’t one to take abuse from anyone, no matter the reason.
“Hey guys!”
Guy hadn’t softened. He wasn’t going to give in. He was just interrupted.
Jackie Grier pulled up a chair to their table. Guy folded his arms firmly across his chest, trying not to notice that Nikolai’s cheeks burned fiercely.
“Fancy seeing you all here,” Grier said, grabbing one of the complimentary buns in the center of the table. She dug her teeth into it. “So how do you two know each other?”
“I get off on being pounded to a pulp,” Guy said, bitterly.
Nikolai hunched over, shrinking in his seat. Jackie ran her brown eyes all over Nikolai. “That wouldn’t surprise me one bit,” Jackie said, trying to open the butter with one hand.
Guy scoffed. Nikolai held down the small plastic tub so Jackie could rip it open. “So seriously what are you two doing together?” Jackie asked.
“Did you follow me here?” Nikolai asked in return.
“Yes,” Grier said. “I told you I’d find out what you were doing on our days off. Do you want to pay for my plane ticket?”
“No,” Nikolai replied.
“It’s a good thing you were so spaced out on the plane or else you would have spotted me,” Grier said. “You certainly looked like you had a lot on your mind.”
“There’s only ever one thing on his mind,” Guy spat.
“Oh?” Grier asked. “Is it you?”
“As if you have more than one thought in your head,” Nikolai suddenly snapped. “You only want to fuck everything.”
“I’m not interested in fucking Jackie,” Guy replied, shrugging.
“Thank you,” Jackie replied, upturning her thin nose.
Nikolai stiffened. His upper lip began to twitch. Guy stared at him with a smirk, just daring him to react. Jackie’s eyes shifted between the two. “Niko,” she said as she pressed her hand on top of his. “You’ve gotta tell me what’s going on. I’m not going to tell anyone else.”
“How often do you follow me?” Nikolai asked, though he still stared at Guy.
“Well, it’s been pretty easy. So far this is the first thing you’ve done in a month that you didn’t do with me,” Jackie said, examining her nails. “You hadn’t mentioned going anywhere, so I thought it best to follow you.”
“I do not need a nanny.”
“Are you sure?” Jackie asked. “Because I believe Guy’s the one that cleaned up your shit last time. That was you that killed the agent, wasn’t it?”
“No,” Guy said, quickly.
“Yes,” Nikolai corrected. “I made a mistake. I did not know they were our agents.”
“And what would you have done if you had known?” Jackie asked.
Nikolai’s mind went blank as if he stared into the white noise of a television screen. He just didn’t know. “I can’t believe this bullshit,” Guy said. “I keep my trap shut through the worst shit for you, and here you are admitting it to the first person who asks.”
“Jackie is my partner,” Nikolai said, his eyes narrowing at Guy. “I am loyal to my partner. And she is loyal to me. I suppose you would not understand that.”
“Are you kidding?” Guy asked. “You tried to rape me with a fucking blistering hot gun. All I had to do was say your name and it’d all go away, but I didn’t.”
“Both of you shut the fuck up,” Jackie said. “I want to know what the fuck is going on.”
Guy and Nikolai both stayed silent, avoiding both each other’s eyes as well as Jackie’s. Jackie stared at them both, her dark brown eyes firmly darting between them. “Who’s going to tell me the god damn story?” she asked. “Are you two in a relationship?”
“Ask him,” Nikolai said.
“We had a good time,” Guy explained, rolling his eyes. “And this guy starts acting like a woman and started being all clingy. I had said from day one that I wasn’t looking for anything serious.”
“And I said from day one that if he wanted to have a sexual relationship with me, I was the only one he could have a sexual relationship with,” Nikolai continued.
“That’s why you were so mad when you looked at the pictures,” Grier said. “I thought something was up.”
“I thought you said it was just business,” Guy said, mockingly.
“It was,” Nikolai replied. “But I assure you I was still angry with you.”
“So basically,” Grier said. “Niko’s a moron for trusting Guy, and Guy’s a moron for thinking Niko would go easy on him.”
“Hey, in my defence, I didn’t know anything about Nikolai,” Guy said. “And Nikolai knew everything there was to know about me.”
“And in my defence,” Nikolai said, eyeing Guy before turning his eyes to Jackie. “Guy asked to see me again, and he stopped seeing other people on the boat, so I assumed when he asked to see me again he would continue to stop seeing other people.”
“The boat,” Jackie said. “Of course, that’s how you knew Guy.”
“I think he led me on,” Nikolai said.
“And I think you beat the shit out of me,” Guy said. “I even had to get a new tooth.”
“I’m not here to settle domestic troubles,” Jackie said, facing Guy. “I’m here to see what sort of shit my partner is sinking in. And let me tell you, Guy Solo, you’re the worst kind of shit.”
“So you don’t care that Nikolai ‘interrogated’ me even though I was keeping his name a secret?” Guy asked, folding his across his chest while he sat lower on his seat.
“Honestly, Guy,” Jackie said, “I would have fucked you with the gun regardless of what the boss said.” Guy’s eyes narrowed at Jackie, but she continued, “And I think Nikolai was just doing his job, if he hadn’t interrogated you then he still would have given himself up. Don’t get me wrong, if I was in your position I’d be pissed, but if I was in your position… well I wouldn’t still be meeting up with Nikolai.”
Guy looked up to see Nikolai staring at him. Their waiter finally came along, but Grier said they weren’t ready yet. She sunk her stark white teeth into another bun as the waiter walked away. “So what’re you doing here, Guy?” Jackie asked, pointing at him with the masticated bun.
Guy decided against responding for the moment. He thought it better to sit silently and investigate his fingernails. “I honestly did not expect him to be here,” Nikolai said to Jackie. “I knew what I did was unpleasant.”
“Stop acting so god damn noble,” Guy said. “You fucked up. Jesus.”
“I think what Niko wants to know, Guy, is why you’re still here,” Jackie said.
“He owes me,” Guy said, quickly. “I did him this huge favour and I want something in return to make it worth my while.”
Nikolai scoffed. Jackie, too, looked unimpressed. “I should have expected this,” Nikolai said. “What do you want?”
“I want to continue having sex with you,” Guy said, “and I want to be able to screw whoever else I want.”
“No deal,” Nikolai said.
“I’m sure there are some A.B.E.L. agents who would be interested in the whole story,” Guy said.
“And then you’d have to explain to them why you kept your mouth in the first place,” Grier said. “Loyalty will be hard to believe, coming from you. Blackmail, too, especially after going through what you did. It’ll only look like you’re trying for a bit of revenge.”
“God damn it!” Guy said. “Where’s our waiter anyway?”
“Don’t you want money or something?” Grier asked. “That’d be easy. I’d chip in if Nikolai didn’t have enough.”
Guy said nothing, opening his menu again.
Nikolai stared hard at him again. “Screw him,” Grier said. “We should just go Niko. I’m sure we could sightsee or something to make the plane trip worthwhile.”
Grier stood up, a hand on Nikolai’s shoulder. Guy focussed more on his menu. Nikolai couldn’t comprehend the expression on Guy’s face. He looked like a child that had been told he couldn’t have anymore candy. He was disgusted that Guy had turned into a spoiled brat, and yet…
“I am not leaving,” Nikolai said. He watched Guy’s eyes rise to watch him.
“Does that mean you’ll let me sleep around?”
“No,” Nikolai said, “but I want you. I will admit that I want a relationship and exclusivity and I am more than happy to sneak around. I do not know what it is about a relationship that frightens you, but I promise things will stay the same. I am not going to turn into a different person if we stay together.”
“You don’t get it,” Guy said. “You already have.”
Nikolai said nothing. Jackie put a hand on Nikolai’s shoulder. “Come on, I’ll set you up with someone better,” Jackie said.
Nikolai scoffed. “As if you know someone better,” Guy said. “Do you even know anyone decent looking, Grier?”
Nikolai mumbled, “She knows you.”
“Okay,” Jackie said. “I’m getting bored, and there’s probably a restaurant just begging for me to eat at it. Guy make a god damn decision.”
“I don’t want a relationship,” Guy said.
Nikolai stood up, turning himself away from Guy. Jackie tried to catch a glimpse of Nikolai face. Their waiter came by again and cleared his throat. “We’re not leaving, god damn it,” Guy said. “We’re all going to sit down and have a bite and talk this shit out.”
“Do you want to hear the specials?” the waiter asked.
Nikolai slumped back down in his chair. Jackie did the same. “I would,” Jackie said.
The waiter listed off the specials and Nikolai glanced through the menu. The three were ready to order, though it was more to keep the waiter from coming back so quickly. Nikolai ordered soup. Guy ordered a sandwich. And Jackie ordered a hamburger. Jackie loosened up the conversation by changing the topic.
Nikolai continued to feel isolated as Jackie and Guy bantered back and forth about explosives. He smashed crackers into his soup, not quite following the conversation. His head throbbed. He clenched his spoon and felt extremely pissed off that he was eating soup with Guy instead of screwing him. Had he just been rejected too?
With a small puddle of soup left in his bowl, Nikolai stood up and excused himself. “Where are you going?” Guy asked.
“I am leaving,” Nikolai replied.
“No, you’re not,” Guy said. “Sit back down.”
Nikolai narrowed his eyes to reply. “Why?”
“Because you still owe me.” Guy leaned forward to grab Nikolai’s shirt, forcing Nikolai to lean across the table. He pulled Nikolai close to him, using his other hand to pull Nikolai’s head against his. Nikolai didn’t struggle as Guy repeated, “You still owe me,” against his lips.
“Come on guys,” Jackie said. “This is horrifying. I will have nightmares. Not to mention it’s really fucking sloppy.”
“I searched the area,” Nikolai said, staring at Guy and nuzzling him. “I am far from careless.”
Jackie scoffed. “I was in the area.”
“I booked a room,” Guy murmured, his hand tight on Nikolai’s neck. “Are you going to help me check for bedbugs?”
The waiter cleared his throat again. Guy released Nikolai, giving the waiter a smile. Nikolai sat back down, rubbing his eyes with the heels of his hands. “You can’t be serious, Niko,” Jackie said. “The man just said he didn’t want you.”
“I said I didn’t want a relationship,” Guy said. “I would like him on top of me or in front of me or behind me or inside me.”
“The check?” the waiter asked. “Please, tell me you want the check.”
“You just don’t want his gun inside of you,” Jackie said.
“We will take the check,” Nikolai said to the waiter. “All separate.”
“No, no,” Guy said. “All together. It’ll be on me today.”
“I am not a prostitute,” Nikolai replied.
“Well, if you’re offering to pay,” Guy said, “you do owe me.”
“All separate,” Jackie said.
“I’m doing separate,” the waiter said, “so I don’t have to go to the police station if this does turn out to revolve around prostitution.”
The waiter quickly brought back the checks. All three of them tossed down cash. “Niko, are you staying with this lump?” Jackie asked.
Guy looked at him, a smile in the corner of his mouth. “Yes,” Nikolai quietly replied.
“Then I wash my hands of this,” Jackie said. “I’ll cover your ass, but if you want to whine and have girl talk, you aren’t coming to me. You’re a great agent when it doesn’t involve paperwork, and you’re a fantastic cook, but you make terrible choices.”
“He’s also a good screw,” Guy said. “But I suppose you wouldn’t know that.”
“Fuck you Solo,” Jackie said. “I want you to know that if you hurt my partner, you will never screw anyone again.”
“Is that a threat?” Guy asked.
“You’re damn right it is.”
“Just checking,” Guy said. “Ready, Niko?”
Nikolai nodded, giving a glance to Jackie. Jackie just offered a wave, trying to give him a look of disapproval, but it turned more into a look of pity. Nonetheless Nikolai followed Guy into the hotel’s elevator. “I suppose you took out the security cameras again?” Guy asked.
“Yes,” Nikolai replied.
“You’ll really have to teach me that,” Guy replied. “I can teach you some things in exchange, you know.”
“I am quite certain there is nothing I can learn from you.”
“Somehow I doubt that,” Guy said as they stepped off onto his floor. “How was your soup?”
“Decent,” Nikolai replied, taking Guy’s hand.
Guy’s pulled his hand away, Nikolai biting his bottom lip in response. Guy opened his hotel room door, waving Nikolai through first. Out of habit, Guy checked out Nikolai’s ass. Nikolai took a quick glance at the stuffy hotel room, but Guy suddenly slammed him against the wall. Nikolai winced as the textured purple and beige wallpaper scraped against his face.
Guy kept his forearm on Nikolai’s neck, and Nikolai felt Guy’s gun dig into his back. “If you ever try to hurt me again, you needy faggot, I will strangle you in your sleep,” Guy said. He wiggled his gun for emphasis. “Do you understand?”
Nikolai’s face twisted into a frown, but he replied nothing.
“I’m not some bitch you can push around whenever you’re pissed,” Guy said, pressing the gun into Nikolai’s spine. “Do you understand?”
Nikolai clenched his fists, his nails dug into his palms. He felt his head pounding, his heart pressing against of his ears. Heat rose to his cheeks.
“I said do you understand?” Guy asked.
Nikolai swivelled around, knocking the gun out of Guy’s hand with his own as he used his other hand to grab Guy by the throat. Guy felt himself slammed against the other wall. He looked as mad as Nikolai felt. For a minute Guy wished he had shot the bastard. Nikolai said between clenched teeth, “I understand, but do not call me a faggot or any variation of that term.”
“B-but that’s what you are,” Guy said, gasping for breath, “and look what you’re doing to me. Do you even speak English? Because you’re clearly not understanding. Or is it that you get off on this? Pushing me around?”
Nikolai’s eyes narrowed, but they widened once Guy kicked his knee. Nikolai flinched, giving Guy a window to claw at Nikolai’s face. Nikolai released Guy, and Guy slugged him once in the stomach and then again in the jaw. Nikolai retaliated, checking Guy into the wall.
Guy, with the wind knocked out of him, wrapped his arms around Nikolai’s neck. Nikolai tried to pull him off, but Guy climbed onto Nikolai’s back and tightened his grip around Nikolai’s throat. Nikolai reached around for Guy, tearing at his clothes and face, but Guy held on and kept his grip tight.
Nikolai dropped to his knees as he began to see black spots invade his sight. Guy put his mouth next to Nikolai’s ear. “Calm down,” Guy said. “Relax. It’s going to be okay.”
Nikolai felt new rage in him as his vision began to fade, and he slammed Guy’s body back against a wall, letting Guy’s body absorb most of the blow. Grunting, Guy continued, “Relax, it’s going to be okay. I’m going to make sure everything is all right.”
Guy felt Nikolai’s body slump forward. He wasn’t sure if Nikolai had drifted out of consciousness or if he had given up. Either way Guy was leery. He relaxed his arms around Nikolai’s throat, but he kept them there in case Nikolai decided to fight again.
“I am sorry,” Nikolai said. “I am truly sorry.”
Guy exhaled and removed his arms from Nikolai’s neck. “I know,” Guy replied.
Nikolai pulled his body away from the wall so Guy could move. “I do not, as you say, ‘get off on it’,” Nikolai said.
Guy got up. He knew that Nikolai and his love-making had always been a bit rougher than other people he’d been with. Maybe hitting each other during sex was just the next step. He turned around to tell Nikolai off again, confront him on his violent impulses, but when he looked at Nikolai, he knew how hollow those words would be.
Nikolai had pulled his knees up to his chest, trying to make himself as tiny as possible. His head was turned away from Guy to try to hide whatever expression his face failed to hide. Guy thought about Nikolai curled up against him, murmuring to him and jerking him off. He thought about the way Nikolai would gently peck his cheek or his neck. He thought about the way he’d carefully caress Guy’s body, careful not to pull on any of his body hair. He considered how his thoughts often drifted to these soft moments just as much as the moments when their sweaty skin grinded together.
Guy sighed out of frustration. He just wanted someone to have good sex with. He didn’t want drama and he definitely didn’t want consistency.
“If you want to stay here,” Guy said, “you’ve got to work for your board.”
Nikolai stood up. “Do you want me here?” he asked.
“I just wanted someone to have sex with,” Guy pleaded.
“I do not feel much like having sex.”
Guy didn’t either. “Well you can help me out then, suck me off or something.”
“I do not do that.”
“What? Help me?”
“Oral sex,” Nikolai replied. “I prefer to keep genitalia out of my mouth.”
“You’re kidding.”
“I do not kid often.”
Guy rubbed his temples. “So I’ve noticed,” Guy said. “Well I’m not cuddling with you, if that’s what you want. So maybe you should go sniff after Jackie. She’d probably hold your hand while you wandered around. But let me tell you, that girl spreads her legs for no one.”
Nikolai shot Guy a look with a frown. Guy was disgusted by how pathetic Nikolai seemed. “You honestly do not want a relationship with me?” Nikolai asked.
“I honestly do not,” Guy said, trying to mimic him and his accent.
“Then why did you help me?” Nikolai asked. “Why did you refuse to say my name?”
Guy laughed too hard. “Come on, Niko. You would’ve done the same for me, right?”
Nikolai’s face hardened. Guy felt a harsh pulse through his body as Nikolai’s steel blue eyes penetrated him. “I would have done anything for you.”
Guy laughed harder, trying to cover up the fact that he was beginning to lose any feeling in his legs. His heart beat so hard he could barely hear anything else. “Except oral, right? Niko, I need someone who can suck my cock sometimes, you know?”
Nikolai just turned his back on Guy and walked out of the hotel room. Guy’s nervous laughter faded quickly as he realized that he was alone. He stood still, the feeling in his legs returning, but with a new weight.
He was very alone.
He could go downstairs to the hotel bar and pick up anyone. He knew he could.
But he’d still be alone in the morning.
“I like being alone,” Guy said. “I prefer it.”
No one responded.
“God damn it.”
He stormed out of his hotel room, seeing Nikolai down the hall waiting for the elevator. “Get your lazy ass back in here,” Guy said. He wondered if he would have followed Nikolai down the stairwell if he taken the stairs instead. “You heard me, come on.”
Nikolai stepped away from the elevator and sauntered his way back to Guy’s room. He didn’t look cocky, but the devastation that he wore earlier had completely faded. Guy thought he may have given up too much when he asked for Nikolai back, but he couldn’t imagine being in the hotel room alone. As he watched Nikolai walk through the maroon hotel hallway, he worried that maybe he couldn’t imagine being in the hotel room without Nikolai.
“Took you long enough,” Guy said, waving Nikolai in before him.
Nikolai stood in Guy’s hotel room, again looking curiously around the room. They were back where they started. “Get undressed,” Guy said. “If you don’t feel like having sex we can just sleep, but I want to look at you naked at least.”
“I need to relieve myself,” Nikolai said.
“Relieve away,” Guy said, waving Nikolai into the bathroom.
Guy undressed and dropped onto the hotel bed’s stiff sheets to wait. Nikolai stepped out of the washroom completely nude, and Guy wished he had the opportunity to undress Nikolai instead. Somehow the muscles crawling up Nikolai’s chest were less impressive when Guy’s fingers didn’t run along them.“Well get over here,” Guy said.
Nikolai walked over and slid into bed next to Guy. He tucked his head against Guy’s neck and breathed him in. “I know you hate this sort of display of affection,” Nikolai said, tracing his fingers on Guy’s chest, “but would you mind if I just hold you?”
Guy sighed and wrapped his arm around Nikolai’s back. “I’ll do the holding,” Guy grumbled, “but consider this a one-time thing.”
Nodding, Nikolai smiled against Guy’s neck and teased Guy’s nipple between his fingers. Guy pulled the covers tight around them both and rubbed Nikolai’s back. Guy felt the heat from his body spread through Nikolai’s cold one. He felt his companion’s eyelashes flutter against him, and he could have sworn he felt Nikolai’s lips kiss his neck.
“God damn it,” Guy muttered.
Nikolai simply kissed beneath Guy’s chin and let his hand creep down Guy’s chest. “I know something you may enjoy more,” Nikolai purred.
“Don’t bother,” Guy replied.
Nikolai straddled Guy’s legs as he stroked Guy’s cock. He placed his lips against Guy’s to murmur, “This is what you want, correct?”
Guy folded his arms across his chest to reply, “I don’t want your boner prodding me all night.”
“I will handle it,” Nikolai said, nuzzling Guy as he tightened his grip on Guy’s stiffening erection. “I will not even hold you afterwards. Consider it part of my apology.”
“Your apology should contain your lips around my cock,” Guy frowned.
Nikolai grasped the back of Guy’s head with his free hand to kiss him, and he shivered as a short, sharp moan came from Guy. Guy twisted his fingers into the blonde’s hair as Nikolai’s hand began to move faster, his thumb teasing the edges of Guy’s foreskin. Guy flicked his tongue against Nikolai’s, arching his body upwards to try to feel his companion’s body against his own.
Breaking the kiss, Nikolai shifted his body downwards on the bed so he could kiss Guy’s neck again. Guy grasped Nikolai’s back to try to pull him against him, but Nikolai tried to keep his position, propping himself up with his free hand on the bed. Nikolai slowed down his pace and teased Guy’s erection lightly with his fingers, smiling against Guy’s shoulder as Guy squirmed against him. “You might want to close your eyes,” Nikolai purred.
But when Guy closed his eyes, he thought only of the gun pressing into his ass. Nikolai’s hot breath against his chest reminded him of the Jericho burning into him. Guy let a gasp escape his lips as Nikolai jerked him off harder again, his tongue circling Guy’s nipple. He dug his nails into Nikolai’s back as the thoughts of the gun were pushed away by the excitement pulsing through his body. “Oh fuck,” Guy groaned.
“So soon, Mr. Solo?” Nikolai smiled against Guy’s nipple.
“Fuck you, Mr. Wetsuit,” Guy gasped.
Nikolai firmly placed his hand at the base of Guy’s erection, jerking him off roughly as he licked Guy’s nipple. Guy felt his nails break the skin on Nikolai’s back as he tried to think of the gun again to keep from coming too soon. But he thought only of Nikolai’s soft lips against him, and he felt himself start to spill onto Nikolai’s hand. Nikolai grabbed Guy’s ass, lifting him slightly off the bed as he continued his fast pace. Guy felt Nikolai’s legs twine with his own as Guy’s toes curled. He groaned again, clawing at Nikolai’s back as Nikolai bit his chest and dug his nails into his ass.
Guy came with a moan, and Nikolai dropped next to Guy with his back against him. (He didn’t see Nikolai wipe his hand off on the sheets.) Guy panted, but was free of Nikolai’s stifling grasp and prodding erection. He rubbed Nikolai’s back and purred, “I hope you end up throbbing all night, Nikolai.”
Nikolai simply responded by pressing his back against Guy’s side. Guy kissed the blonde’s hair before he folded his arms behind his head with a smile.
